Sankalp carries your family’s remembrance
Distance changes the way your family witnesses the rite; it does not change where the rite is performed. The pandit and samagri remain physically present at the chosen sacred tirtha in India. Your family joins via live video conferencing, listens to the Sankalp and follows the pandit’s guidance from abroad.
After booking, the coordinator will gently ask for the Karta’s name, gotra if known, the names and relationships of the ancestors being remembered, the preferred date and any family custom that should be considered. Share what your family knows. If a detail is uncertain, the pandit will guide you without making the preparation burdensome.
Choosing among Gaya, Prayagraj, Varanasi and Haridwar
Each tirtha carries its own sacred memory. Gaya is remembered through Vishnupad and the Phalgu, Prayagraj through the Triveni Sangam, Kashi through the sacred Ganga and Haridwar through Gangadvara. If an elder or family tradition has named a place, let that remembrance guide your first choice.
If there is no fixed family preference, consider the tirtha calmly and read the inclusions of each seva. The Gaya Complete arrangement also includes Brahmin Bhoj for three Brahmins; additional rites are included only when they are clearly named.
Approaching Pitru Paksha with gratitude
Pitru Paksha is a time to remember the Pitrs through gratitude, steadiness and shraddha—not with anxiety. Pitru Paksha 2026 runs from 26 September to 10 October.
When the lunar death tithi is known, families commonly request the corresponding day. When it is not known, Sarva Pitru Amavasya may be considered with the pandit’s guidance. Your preferred date is confirmed only after the tirtha and pandit’s suitable ceremony time have been checked.
Prepare simply and with a peaceful mind
Decide who will be the Karta, gather the ancestor names and relationships your family knows, note the gotra if available, and appoint one primary family coordinator. On the ceremony day, sit in a quiet place with a steady internet connection so everyone can listen clearly through live video conferencing.
